Stand By For Further Instruction

Unfortunately I got to put things on hold for a few months. Divorce. Yarp. It's really a good thing. We both are in total agreement and there is no fighting, all the kids are moved out of the house, and it's just a lot of sorting through things.

I'm actually pretty set. I'm having a custom 'tiny home' being build on a very large piece of land deep in the back Florida country. It's not entirely off-grid, I do have access to electrical service and I have StarLink and 5G mobile internet with plenty of good coverage.

But for now, I need to concentrate on selling my house. When I'm done I should be completely debt free with no car payment, no mortgage... heck I'm not even going to have homeowners insurance. That may sound risky in hurricane Florida, but this is a tiny home and insurance in Florida is crazy high. Hurricanes in these parts only hit once every 10-15 years, and even then they are usually not that big a deal. With the money I save on insurance I can easily buy my whole home brand new every 4-5 years. So if you don't have a mortgage and a small house, you don't need insurance. The thought of not having insurance seems crazy to some, but this isn't like dealing with earthquakes, tornados, and volcanoes. You have plenty of warning. You know usually a week in advance if you need to leave. After 40+ years, I have never had to leave even once. And yes you can build a tiny home that can withstand up to a 160MPH winds, rather easily in fact.

Anyway, enough about my personal life. I'll be offline for a while, building, working, moving. But I'll be back, you can count on that.
